As the seasons begin transforming into the next, I like to change with them. This usually includes a wardrobe overhaul, de-cluttering the home, and mind-body detoxing.
With fall slowly creeping in, I am committing to a 21 days of meditation to re-set and prepare myself for the new. Additionally, I have major updates to share about the future of BWGP.
21 Day Meditation Challenge
I will be the first to admit that meditation is not easy. As a health and wellness junkie, I have struggled on and off with being able to meditate. I operate at high speeds and find it difficult to prevent my mind from wandering even when “focusing on my breathing.”
Meditation is said to reduce stress, promote stronger immune systems and even slow aging. We know it’s good for us but continue to make up excuses for why we can’t. I am challenging myself, and anyone else interested, to join me over the next 21 days in giving meditation a real try.
I am going into this challenge with an open mind. Like any new skill, meditation can take practice before you feel comfortable. In order to set myself up for success, I am starting out slow. You are welcome to set time frames that feel right to you.
The meditation challenge will include meditating once a day for 21 days. Today I set the timer on my phone for 5 minutes and will continue with this length of time for the next week. Next Sunday (Sept. 17th), I will increase to 10 minutes of daily meditation. The week of September 24th, I will plan to do 15 minutes. Throughout this experience, I will make note of how I feel and report on my findings! It’s in writing now so there’s not turning back now.
BWGP has served me well over the last year. It has been great exploring the world of blogging and putting my writing out there for the world to see. Thank you for your continuous support! I have learned a lot about myself and the direction I want to take my blog.
Over the next month, BWGP will be going through a re-brand and a major makeover! The content and categories are remaining the same with some expansion. The blog name will be changing along with the URL! More to come on the new and improved lifestyle blog!
The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward. – Ameila Earhart
Sending you love on this wonderful Sunday morning!
