All I have to say is Siete’s Cashew Queso is AMAZING! I’m not going to lie, I was super skeptical and probably wouldn’t have purchased this product on my own. Imitation cheese products don’t usually do it for me but my sister was so excited to try it. And so we did.
We tried the Mild Nacho flavor. It also comes in Spicy Blanco. You know it must be good when our super Italian, fresh mozzarella eating family tried some and enjoyed it. Siete has managed to recreate the flavors of queso with a combination of delicious spices. The texture is also comparable. Naturally, we used Siete’s grain-free tortilla chips for dipping.
Siete’s website shares their ingredients below:
“The Queso is made with cashews and other real food ingredients such as tomatoes, onions, bell peppers and coconut milk powder, and comes in two varieties: Spicy Blanco and Mild Nacho. Both varieties have no added sugars or starches, and are grain free, gluten free, dairy free, vegan and paleo-friendly.”
This queso is also free of soy, a common ingredient often found in imitation cheese products. I avoid soy because it is a top 5 common food sensitivity and I always feel pressure in my head after I eat it.
If you’re looking for an allergen-friendly queso dip, this one is definitely worth purchasing. It also makes for a wonderful cheese alternative for tacos! Siete’s queso can be found in the refrigerated section of Whole Foods. Happy dipping!
